After this module has concluded, I hope to use the experience I have gained to work towards employment. I also plan to further my personal hobbies by continuing to develop my 3D modelling ability in order to create some more work pieces to place on my show reel. The summer break is an excellent chance for me to seek out other opportunities in the games industry. I plan on working on some personal projects, including a personal small game development cycle to see how I can go about making a game on my own without a team. The experience I have gained from working with a team allow me to better visualise what would be possible in a similar time frame with only me working on the project. As I mentioned before, I want to continue developing my 3D modelling ability using programs such as zBrush, 3DS Max and texturing with Substance Painter. I have really enjoyed working on these projects in the past and working to improve my skillset should open up opportunities working in this field which I enjoy. Whilst my drawing ability isn't particularly great, the room for improvement will allow me to spend time thinking about and refining my ability, hopefully I can keep progressing whilst reflecting from what worked on previous projects and what did not. Practice will help develop this more than anything. I will also continue watching trends in the industry. The talks I have listened to over the course of this module has taught me that it is very important to monitor new trends in the industry as if I am able to refine the quality of my work in emerging fields I will be giving myself more opportunities for work in my future as the employment pool will be less saturated.
